About us

Our story

CLUM was born from a simple, everyday observation, made at home. Two sisters. Two different ways of experiencing the world. And clothing as one of the main ways in which this difference manifests itself. One always chose the same color. The other refused to repeat a pattern twice. One preferred simplicity, the other wanted to stand out. And there were pieces—few, but there were some—that withstood time, enough to pass from one to the other. There they gained a second owner, a second story.

That is when we realized what we wanted to do: make that exception the rule. Clothing that lasts long enough to be inherited. And that, at the same time, leaves room for every child to be who they are. Not neutral pieces to please everyone. Pieces with enough character for a child to choose them as their own—and then for another to recognize them as their own, when it is their turn to wear them. There was also another knowledge behind it: years of professional contact with mothers and children, and a clear notion of how a fabric, a cut, or a seam affects the movement and comfort of a body that is still growing. A piece only lasts, and only fits well, when it is designed for the body that is going to wear it—not just for the photograph.

Our symbol is the Iberian lynx. It was on the verge of extinction. It resisted, and today it is one of the rarest animals in Europe. It is this energy—of rarity and resistance—that we bring to each piece: doing less, doing to last, and letting each piece keep a proper identity, just as each child keeps their own.

More than just clothes: We celebrate every moment of childhood.

That’s when we realized what we wanted to do: to make that exception the rule.

Clothing that lasts long enough to be passed down, but that gives each child space to be who they are. Not neutral pieces, but pieces with character, that one child chooses as their own—and that another recognizes as their own when their turn comes.

Behind this idea are years of contact with mothers and children and an understanding of how fabrics, cuts, and seams influence the movement and comfort of a growing body.

Because a garment only lasts, and only fits well, when it’s designed for the body that will wear it — not just for the photograph.

Our Identity

Our symbol is the Iberian lynx. It was on the verge of extinction. It survived, and today it is one of the rarest animals in Europe.

It is this energy — of rarity and resilience — that we bring to each piece: to make less, to make it last, and to allow each piece to retain its own identity, just as each child retains theirs.
